AFX used the sponsor logos, livery details and body specs of the real life cars to create the
most realistic HO scale version possible.
The Swiss company, Sauber Motorsport, shot off the starting line when it was founded in 1970.
After its debut in F1 in 1993, Sauber carved out a name for itself. Not only were they one of the
few traditional, privately held teams in the sport, they set standards in the design, development
and construction of race cars to this day.
Sauber Motorsport conducts full and model-scale testing in the factory’s state-of-the-art wind
tunnel providing ground-breaking innovation in the field of aerodynamics. The company’s
evolutionary skill and artistry helped earn its induction into the exclusive club of teams to have
competed in more than 500 F1 races. In 2022, Sauber Motorsport celebrated 30 years in the
sport and continues to dominate both on and off the track.
These cars blow AFX’s already top-of-the-line detail and design rendering out of the water.
Their multifaceted logos and deeply sculpted bodies pushed the boundaries of car

The 2024 Sauber F1 C44 #24, driven by Zhou Guanyu alongside Stake 1 teammate Valtteri
Bottas in #77, is built with a lightweight carbon-fiber monocoque featuring a Ferrari-supplied
1.6L V6 turbo engine and a redline of 15,000 RPM. The C44’s most dramatic shift may be the
change from push-rod to pull-rod suspension, lowering the car’s center of gravity. That,
coupled with its aerodynamic features – revised sculpted sidepods and a complex front wing –
help maximize downforce while minimizing drag.
In 2024, Zhou Guanyu has solidified his reputation as a talented driver, showcasing strong
performances behind the wheel of the Sauber F1 C44. Zhou’s resilience and racecraft have
enabled him to consistently challenge for points finishes, moving up the leaderboard with
increasing confidence. Zhou’s future in Formula 1 looks promising as he pushes the limits of

1969 was the golden age of exploration. Moon landings were no longer the stuff of sci-fi stories. Space explorers had become real life superheroes. Besides taking a trip to the moon, astronauts also had one particular job perk to look forward to - driving a ‘69 Corvette. Thanks to former Indy 500 winner, Jim Rathmann, astronauts in training were given the use of new Chevy cars every year for the whopping sum of $1. Apollo 12’s all-Navy crew picked the Riverside Gold Corvette Sport Coupes. All three were identical save one “touch of uniqueness” - a small rectangular plaque on the car’s fender. Each driver’s role on the spacecraft was engraved in the color assigned to them for their mission: red, white and blue. The AstroVettes - as they were called, came with the thunderous roar of a 427 Turbo-Jet V-8 engine, four-speed wide-range transmission and 390 horsepower. The gold body donned black-painted “wings” designed by iconic stylist Alex Tremulis, evoking the colors of the Apollo 12 module. The HobbyZone Mini AeroScout makes learning to fly RC airplanes in more places and smaller spaces easy and fun!
