The ultimate muscle car, the Chevelle 454 ended its reign in 1972. In one word, the 454 was barbaric. Laying waste to lesser muscle cars of the time, including the Corvette. The 454 was the highest powered Chevelle ever manufactured in the model’s lifetime. Even now, 50 years later, folks still rank it top of the list. Only slightly changed from its predecessor the year before, the 1972 Chevelle came with a rear-facing Cowl Induction hood that allowed air into the engine so it could spread its proverbial wings.

Learn to Fly Successfully with SAFE Technology If this is your first RC airplane, the included SAFE (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology prevents overcontrol and crashes. It also offers multiple flight modes to deliver more control and capabilities at the flip of a switch as your skills progress: Beginner Mode In this flight mode, the airplane has pitch (up/down) and bank (left/right) angle limits that prevent overcontrol which could lead to a loss of orientation and crashes. When the control sticks are released, the airplane automatically returns to level flight allowing you to relax and enjoy simply 'steering' the airplane through the sky. Best of all, takeoffs are as simple as giving full throttle and letting the airplane fly off a suitable surface, or by giving it a quick hand launch over surfaces such as grass. And landings are as easy as lowering the throttle and letting it glide to a landing on its own! Intermediate Mode This flight mode allows more freedom in pitch and bank but still prevents significant overcontrol and the airplane returns to level flight on its own more slowly than it does in the Beginner mode. Includes AFX 1973 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Red Mega G+ HO Slot Car	This is the AFX 1970 Corvette Red w/Yellow Wildfire Mega G+ HO Slot Car Nothing beats the world famous sports car, the C3 3rd generation Corvette. Designed by Russian Zora Arkus-Duntov, the body was patterned after the Mako Shark II designed in 1965. The C3 body would go on to be produced from 1968 through to 1982. Not only was the Corvette one of the coolest looking American sports cars, in its time it was also one of the fastest. Able to run at 140 mph with little to no effort, specific tires were designed to reliably sustain and stabilize the car at such high speeds. In an effort to pack more punch in less space, Chevrolet focused on smaller-displacement engines and in 1970, they introduced the LT-1. A 350 cubic inch engine with factory rated 370 horsepower. An unprecedented size and number for sports cars at the time. AFX Wild Fire Flames are proprietary custom designs. But we certainly weren’t the first folks to paint flames on the side of a hot rod. The first flames to appear on a hot rod were literal flames. Captured in a perfectly timed photograph on October 20th, 1938 by the Carroll Photo Company. Driver Fred Friday zipped his car through Gilmore Stadium when his car alighted in flames from a fuel leak. The idea that a car had been driven so furiously as to emit flames inspired hot rod and muscle car fans across the country.
